The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating a homicide that occurred in Mead.

Hunter McKee, public information manager for OSBI, said the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office asked the OSBI to assist after 9 p.m. Saturday.

No arrests had been made and names had not been released at press time.

McKee said the victim was taken to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office to be properly identified and to determine the cause of death.

“We are continuing to investigate right now to determine exactly what occurred,” McKee said.

In other news, a pedestrian was killed Friday in an accident involving three vehicles at Highway 70 and Streetman Road about two miles west of Mead, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, who identified the victim as 55-year-old Stefan Severini of Mead.

The accident happened at about 11:13 p.m. when there was a collision involving a Toyota Corolla driven by 23-year-old Keon Christie of Madill, a Ford Ranger driven by 64-year-old Brenda Whittington of Mead and a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Clarence Shear, 42, Ponca City, according to OHP. Christie and Whittington were treated and released and Shear was not injured.

Amy Cheshire, 25, Mead, who was a passenger in Whittington’s vehicle, was treated and released and a two-yearold girl was not injured. Desirae Shear, 32, Ponca City, was a passenger in Shear’s vehicle and she also was not injured.

The accident was still under investigation at the time of the OHP report. Trooper Bobby Davis investigated with assistance by Troopers Josh Christian and Joshua Harrington. The ABLE Commission, Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, Bryan County EMS and West Bryan County Fire-Rescue also assisted at the scene.
