Two people were killed during a crash on Highway 69/75 near Platter Road on Friday, Calera Police said.
There were eight people involved and some of them were ejected during the accident and police said in a press release that four medical helicopters responded to the scene.
Names and additional details were not available at press time Tuesday.
In other accidents, a 5-yearold Oklahoma City boy was injured during a boat explosion Sunday at Bridgeview Marina on Lake Texoma in Marshall County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
According to OHP, Brandon Cox, 52, Oklahoma City, put fuel in a cabin cruiser boat at the dock at about 2:45 p.m. and when he began to start the vessel, a spark ignited gasoline fumes causing an explosion an explosion and catching the boat on fire. The boy, whose name was not released, was flown by Air Evac to Parkland Burn Center in Dallas.
He was listed in stable condition at the time of the OHP report with burns to his arms, legs and minor burns to the face. Cox and passengers Teresa Smith, 51, Hydro, and Jordan Neal, 25, Oklahoma City, were not injured, according to OHP.
Equipment failure was cited in Trooper Kyle Ince’s report as the cause of the accident.
