Celebrate the season with the annual Oktoberfest hosted by Lost Street Brewing Company and Durant Main Street from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27. Enjoy root beer, games, new vendors, a wiener dog race, food and drinks, and overall entertainment for the whole family. With festive music and activities throughout the day, Oktoberfest is a can’t-miss event to welcome fall in style.

Friends of the Donald W. Reynolds Library, 1515 W. Main, Durant, Ok, will hold their Annual Book Sale on Oct. 2nd - Oct. 4th.
The hours are 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on Thursday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Friday and 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday. All proceeds of the sale are used to support our library.

The Diocese of Tulsa chose 14 Catholic churches to host pilgrimages. On Oct. 4, St. Agnes Catholic Church in Antlers will host a Jubilee Pilgrims of Hope Mass. The Mass will take place at 10 a.m. on the St. Agnes lawn. The theme of the Mass will highlight the plight of immigrants and the suffering of the victims of human trafficking. All are invited to celebrate this religious occasion.

The Magnolia Farmers Market is held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through Oct. 11 at Market Square on the corner of First Avenue and Evergreen Street in downtown Durant.
Rock Creek Schools announced it is participating in a free breakfast and/or lunch program for school year 2026. All students enrolled in the district, or the listed sites may participate in the breakfast and/ or lunch program at no charge. Provision 2 and 3 schools and CEP schools will not collect household applications for free and reduced meals. Household applications for free and reduced meals will not be collected at CEP schools or Provision 2 and 3 schools in a non-base year. Household applications will be collected at non-pricing schools and Provision 2 and 3 schools in a base year. By providing breakfast and/or lunch to all children at no charge, we can create a better learning environment for our students. The school breakfast and lunch we serve follows U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The program cannot succeed without your support. Please encourage your children to participate in the school meal programs. All meals are served to all students at no charge.
