The Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women (BCFDW) meeting will be held Tuesday, October 21 at noon at the Donald W Reynolds Library in Durant. The inaugural Choctaw Film Festival at the Choctaw Cultural Center in Durant will be from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. Admission is free and the featured artist is award-winning filmmaker Mark Williams, who won Best Feature Documentary for “The Journey of Tiak Hikiya Ohoyo” at the Fort Smith International Film Festival. His feature film, “Violet,” has won 12 awards. There will be opportunities to ask questions and take photos.
