An Achille man was killed while working on an automobile on the side of the road when he was struck by another vehicle, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Seventy-one-year-old David W. Judd later died from his injuries after the accident just before 9 a.m Oct. 17. on Highway 78 south of Allison Road, OHP said.
The report stated that Gerrett L. Hamilton, 36, Hendrix, was driving northbound when he became distracted and veered onto the shoulder, and hit Judd and also the other vehicle. Hamilton was not injured. Another person, 69-year-old George W. Judd, Bokchito, was not injured.
