Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is upon us. For some it may feel like just another day. That feeling can change by doing something special or by feeling special. How? You ask. You may or may not have a loved one in the nursing home, but either way, love, joy and happiness can be spread through others beginning with you.
There are a few nursing homes around you and in that nursing home are a few elderly residents, who may or may not, have family members or friends that visit them. If you can take just a little of your time to visit with them or take a gift to them, it could make a difference. A visit or a gift can make a person feel special, not only the person you visit or give the gift to but yourself as well.
Christmas is the season to remember the love, joy and happiness, which is one of the reasons we celebrate this season. By giving a gift or just visiting an elderly resident in the nursing home, you will be helping to keep this love, joy and happiness in their lives and walk away with unspeakable joy in your own heart.
Let’s end the year and begin a new year with love, joy and happiness. Contact a nursing home to bring a gift or just go to a nursing home to visit someone.
