Caddo and Rock Creek each captured Class A district championships with emphatic victories over visiting foes Saturday night.
The top-ranked Caddo girls blasted Savanna by an 88-35 count and the secondrated boys did likewise for a 90-22 throttling of the Bulldogs.
Rock Creek ran past Wister for a 64-25 victory in the girls matchup and then added a 57-47 decision in the boys as well.
All four clubs were slated for regional winner’s bracket play early this week with championship games set for this Saturday.
Caddo 88, Savanna 35 (girls)
The Lady Bruins poured in 26 points in each of the first two stanzas with another 28 in the third to romp to the victory.
Caddo forced 38 turnovers, turning most of those into easy transition buckets.
Junior Kayden Prince sparked the onslaught with 30 points as well as seven rebounds. Emma Daniel posted 21 and dished out seven assists while Belle Hookom contributed 17 of the scoring along with five steals.
Brilee Tyson scored seven, Braylee Malone and Kiersyn Powell had four apiece, Maggie Williams notched three and Kaia Bragg contributed two points.
Caddo 90, Savanna 22 (boys)
Scorching the nets for 16 three pointers, Caddo scored early and often in the district rout.
The Bruins were up 28-2 after one quarter, 57-8 at halftime and 83-14 after the third quarter.
Four players scored in double figures with several others just below led by Beck Willingham’s 20 points on eight of 14 shooting to go along with five assists.
Jet Rose tallied 14 with Dallas Williams contributing 13 and Noah Bacon 10. The Bruins also picked up eight each from Kale Brister and Carson Robinson, Corbin Stoner notched six, Jake McKay, Ty Hooks and Kason Richardson all tallied three and Keshawn Smith ended with two.
Rock Creek 64, Wister 25 (girls)
The Lady Mustangs cruised to a massive 22-3 lead fueled by six points apiece from Maddie Williams and Ella Hamill and never looked back in the district title triumph.
Rock Creek was up 37-16 at the half and 53-21 through three periods as they steadily pulled away.
Williams, Hamill and Audrey Knight all posted 16 points to lead the offensive charge. Carlaysia Brown tacked on eight points, Mahlia Venegas had five and Jeslyn Odell added three.
Rock Creek 57, Wister 47 (boys)
A quick start powered Rock Creek to a first period lead and the Mustangs maintained that margin much of the contest fueled by a monster effort from Cameron Brown.
The sophomore catalyst pumped in nine of his team’s 19 points in the opening flurry and also pitched in 13 in the third stanza on the way to a game-high 29 point performance.
Jarret Barfield also hit double figures with 11 points as J.W. Edelen notched six, Kelton Teal had five, Jakeb Munholland scored four and Kenneth Ashby added two.
