Boys
Balanced offense was the story against Lawton as the Lions got rolling early and cruised to the win.
Joseph Flores blasted through a pair of goals with Konnor Shenas, Otto Baskin, Christian Ortiz, Luis Amaya and Carter Kemp all adding one goal apiece.
In the Bishop Kelley matchup at the University of Tulsa, the Comets notched the first two goals before Amaya put Durant on the scoreboard. Kelley punched through one more goal prior to intermission for a 3-1 edge at the half.
Durant’s defense tightened after the break but the Lions were unable to find the back of the net offensively again.
“It was a very physical match and we just couldn’t get any shots to go in the net,” head coach John Wilmoth commented. “Bishop Kelley is a really good team and should definitely be one of the favorites for the district title.”
