Crisis Control Center announces recent grant awards supporting critical survivor services

The Crisis Control Center extends sincere gratitude to the Durant Masonic Lodge and the Massey Family Foundation for their generosity and commitment to survivors in our community. Their support connected to the recent Serving Up Kindness benefit helped officially launch the Vision 2026: Ignite the Change campaign.

Serving Up Kindness was held in support of First United Bank’s United Acts of Kindness, bringing community members together in a meaningful show of compassion. First responders were given meals at no charge to show appreciation for their tireless efforts keeping the community safe. The event, made possible in part by the Durant Masonic Lodge, created powerful momentum for the Center’s future. Following the benefit, the Massey Family Foundation generously contributed a gift that further strengthened the campaign and expanded its impact.

These combined efforts are helping the Crisis Control Center move forward with plans to expand its Project Impact Program, with a focus on creating sustainable funding to assist survivors with critical needs such as rent, utilities, and medical bills.

While this support marks an important beginning, more donations are still needed. The Crisis Control Center continues to face a growing demand for services and has an urgent need for a permanent building to adequately serve survivors and families.

The Center’s public office currently provides essential resources, including the Survivor Academy, a Survivor Store where clients can shop for necessary items at no cost, and a Kids Place—a dedicated, safe space where children can be cared for while parents receive services.

“The generosity shown through Serving Up Kindness and the Massey Family Foundation’s gift helped ignite change,” said the Crisis Control Center. “But to fully realize Vision 2026, we invite the community to continue standing with survivors as we work toward a permanent space and lasting solutions.”

The Crisis Control Center remains grateful for partners who believe in hope, healing, and building a stronger future for survivors.
