Crisis Control Center is proud to announce a series of recent grant awards and generous contributions that will signifi cantly expand and enhance services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout Texoma.
Through the support of Texoma Community Foundation and Alliance Health, Crisis Control Center will develop a dedicated Sexual Assault Exam Room. This specialized space will allow survivors to receive forensic exams in a safe, familiar, and trauma-informed environment— eliminating the need to travel to a hospital during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. In addition to the exam space, the project will include a private counseling and consultation room, providing a secure setting for survivors to meet with law enforcement officers and advocates. This integrated approach ensures compassionate, streamlined care that prioritizes both healing and justice. Crisis Control Center extends heartfelt thanks to Texoma Community Foundation and Alliance Health for investing in this vital resource for survivors.
The organization is also pleased to recognize Texoma Community Foundation and the Kirkpatrick Foundation for their support in the creation of a Pet Center at the emergency shelter. This innovative addition will allow survivors fleeing abusive situations to bring their pets with them—removing a major barrier to seeking safety and ensuring that no family member, human or animal, is left behind.
Additionally, Crisis Control Center expresses sincere gratitude to the Drummond Foundation for its continued partnership, providing second-year funding for both Survivor Academy and Project Impact. Through Project Impact, survivors receive assistance with immediate, critical needs such as housing deposits, auto registration, attorney’s fees, and other urgent expenses that can otherwise delay their path to stability. Participation in Project Impact is tied to engagement in Survivor Academy classes, ensuring that clients not only receive financial support but also gain the skills, education, and empowerment needed for long-term independence.
Finally, the organization thanks the Massey Family Foundation for a generous leadership gift supporting ongoing program expansion. This investment will enable Crisis Control Center to grow its reach, strengthen services, and meet the increasing needs of individuals and families across the region.
“These partnerships demonstrate the power of community in creating lasting change,” said a Crisis Control Center representative. “Each of these contributions directly impacts the lives of survivors—offering safety, dignity, and hope for a brighter future.”
