Boys
It was a tight, defensive battle throughout but the Lions made the plays when they had to in order to up their season record to 3-0.
Durant’s defense turned back every opportunity on the back line while keeping goal keeper Leland Hardwick clean most all night long.
The Lions’ offense finally got a scoring chance and took advantage of it late in the first half when Joseph Flores punched one into the net for the only goal of the entire game.
“We really played well defensively tonight,” said head coach John Wilmoth. “Our offense had opportunities but couldn’t convert any other than the one from Joseph but that turned out to be enough.”
