Durant’s high school wrestling cruised to dual victories over Davis in both boys and girls division last week inside the Robinson Family Gymnasium.
The Lady Lions notched a 36-11 verdict while the DHS boys were 54-18 winners as well.
Five triumphs for the Durant girls came on pin fall decisions as Olivia Crossland got it going by dropping Navaeh Sampson at 110 pounds. Madison Rivera pinned Davis’ Lexi Waters at 120 pounds and Skyla Conditt stopped Amanda Valentina Ibarrola in the 135-pound division.
Adding to the triumph was Kenzie Trotter’s fall win against Kynlee Irons at 145 pounds with Malorie Day adding a fall against NaLora Russell. Durant’s Lillian Stilwell was credited with a forfeit at 125 pounds.
Kenlyn Pate began the Lion surge at 113 pounds by pinning Refelix Diaz Perez and Durant’s Jacoby Brigge chipped in a fall over Dominic Lineberry at 138. John Pierce added a fall triumph at 144 pounds facing Nathaniel McKee and Britton Trotter chipped in a fall decision of Brandon Jones at 165 pounds.
Durant pulled away to the convincing victory as David Le, Aiden Polk, Joseph Sepalvedoe, Hayden Bridges and Evan Smith all were credited with forfeits.
