The Durant Lions racked up 221 team points to finish only behind Sulphur in the team standings at the Tishomingo Powerlifting Meet last week.
There were a pair of Lion individual weight class titlist along with a host of placers to rack up the impressive point total. Juston Andrus claimed the 132-pound crown with a three-lift total of 955 pounds (315 squat, 175 bench, 465 deadlift) and Dragen Baker rolled to the 168-pound class title with a combination of 1,085 pounds (420 squat, 240 bench, 425 deadlift).
Durant notched a big point total at 181 pounds thanks to a second place effort from Conley Tiffie with 1,360 total pounds (540 squat, 300 bench, 520 deadlift) as well as Stephen Manhard claiming third with a three-lift mark of 1,290 pounds (500 squat, 260 bench, 530 deadlift).
Carter Kemp was a third place medalist in the 145-pound division posting a combination total of 890 pounds (300 squat, 220 bench, 370 deadlift) while Jastin Stepp added a third at heavyweight tallying a 1,260 pound total (500 squat, 275 bench, 485 deadlift).
Daylun Andrews checked in fourth in the 168 category totaling 1,020 pounds (370 squat, 250 bench, 400 deadlift) and Jaxon Cuesta added a fourth also in the 242-division by amassing 1,225 pounds (500 squat, 275 bench, 450 deadlift).
Fifth place performances included Chris Hix with 1,155 total pounds (460 squat, 250 bench, 445 deadlift) in the 242 category, Cruz Gomez was fifth in the 275 division by racking up 1,325 total (525 squat, 300 bench, 500 deadlift) with Gaige Rocha posting a fifth at heavyweight with a combination of 1,170 (475 squat, 285 bench, 410 deadlift).
At 123 pounds, Brandon Cordell was sixth, Chris Beccara ended seventh and Ethan Garcia was eighth. Jacob Jones chipped in a sixth in the 220 division while teammate Maddox Arnold ended eighth. Ethan King was seventh at 145 pounds and Jayden Harley added an eighth at 242 pounds.
Durant had one girls’ placer with freshman Camryn Eubanks adding a second place effort in the 198-pound division as she combined for 690 pounds (240 squat, 135 bench, 315 deadlift).
