Durant’s GFWC-Oklahoma Fortnightly Club has new officers for 20262028 and the club’s first meeting of the year was on Sept. 10.
The officers are Sharon Robinson, Parliamentarian; Donna Tyler, Treasurer; Karen Walker, Recording Secretary; Lynette Parmley, Vice President; Michele Hockersmith, President; and Liz McCraw, Corresponding Secretary. Sharon Robinson is also GFWC-Oklahoma State Leadership & LEADS Committee Chairman. Betty Clay is GFWCOklahoma State Treasurer.
Charlene Ridgway is past 2024-2026 GFWCOklahoma State President and was appointed to serve on the 2026-2028 GFWC International Membership Committee. She also serves as GFWC- South Central Region Corresponding Secretary and Assistant to the Region President.
GFWC is short for General Federation of Women’s Clubs (headquarters is in Washington D.C.). Fortnightly Club organized in 1902 for the purpose of promoting higher intellectual, social and moral conditions and for establishing a city library.
