Local students win ODOT poster contest

Andrea Ramos, an eighth-grader at Colbert Middle School, took second place in the sixth-through eighth-grade division of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s annual Trash Poster Contest.

Nursing Home is a phrase that most people would not like to speak of nor want to hear in their own home. Growing up the word nursing home meant dying. People felt that if someone were to go into the nursing home, they would go there to die.

Four Southeastern students visit State Capitol for Higher Education Day and Oklahoma’s Promise Day

OKLAHOMA CITY – Four Southeastern Oklahoma State University students traveled to Oklahoma City April 15 to participate in Higher Education Day and Oklahoma’s Promise Day at the State Capitol.

Public schools are set up to fail

Ryan Walters, Superintendent of Oklahoma Public Schools, continues in the fine old the Republican tradition of starving public schools. Taxpayer money is already being diverted to vouchers to pay for private and religious schools, although taxpayers want their public funds to go to public schools!
