My recent visit to rural Stockdale, Texas, where I grew up, was quite an adventure. I soon learned this was Trump Country because of the MAGA caps and revealing conversations with old friends.

Grand Theater takes home Casino of the Year – Theater award

Representatives from Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant accepted the Academy of Country Music’s “Casino of the Year – Theater” award in August at the 17th annual Academy of Country Music Honors in Nashville. This is the third time the Grand Theater has taken home this award.

The Blast from the Past car club presented a total of $6,000 in checks to three community organizations. The American Legion, Crisis Control Center and The Bryan Baptist Association Great Physician’s Pharmacy/ Medical Clinic each received $2,000 during the car club’s meeting Sept.
