Commissioners approve sale of Federal Building

Bryan County Commissioners Scott Goad, Tony Simmons and Brandon Carr approved the sale of the old Federal Building during a meeting Tuesday morning. Gabbart Holdings will be purchasing the building for $300,000.

Kingston Town Council had an executive session during its regular meeting March 12 to discuss possible action against Police Chief Kasey Cox. The agenda items listed for executive session included taking action on Cox’s previous write up and disciplinary action for him.

House completes deadline week

The House completed its third reading deadline on Thursday, March 14. We passed 422 bills and joint resolutions off the House floor before the deadline, just a fraction of the thousands of measures filed this year.
