Here we go again. The Republicans cut taxes for the rich, then fret over the deficit they helped create. For example, the 2017 tax cut and the lack of any serious spending restraint caused the nation’s debt to soar.

Wakefield honored as ‘Queen of Three Valleys’ during Christmas parade

Centenarian Betty Wakefield represented Three Valley Museum in last week’s Durant Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade by posing as the “Queen of Three Valleys.” She celebrated her 100th birthday on July 22 and 95 of her 100 years have been in Durant.
