Water donated to local fire departments

First United Bank and BrucePac recently donated pallets of bottled water to area fire departments. Brett Rogers, community bank president for First United Bank, said the bank has a Gatorade and water challenge during the month of June.

Clark recognized for 10 years service to Choctaw Nation

Longtime writer Charles Clark was honored last week for his 10 years of service to The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. His current role is communications specialist writing press releases and taking photos for the tribe.

Fans donated to beat the summer heat

Several organizations have partnered to provide fans to senior citizens and low-income families in the community. Pam Robinson, director of Bryan County United Way, said Bomgaars store first provided 88 fans at a discount.

COMING EVENTS

July 15 The Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women (BCFDW) meeting will be held Tuesday, July 15 at noon at the Donald W Reynolds Library in Durant. The program will be presented by Kathy Moore, who is the local Economic Development Director.
