Sixteen Practical Nursing students graduated from Kiamichi Tech - Durant on Thursday, June 26, 2025. According to program director, Shelly Swalley, Practical Nursing graduates complete 1,508 hours of class time and clinical hours.

CLINTON, Miss.— Karah Boydstun of Durant was named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at Mississippi College. The Mississippi College Office of Academic Affairs releases the Dean’s List after the close of fall and spring semesters each academic year.

Peanuts are a part of my life. As a five-year-old boy in 1942, I rode on the left axle of my father’s Farmall B tractor while he cultivated them. I grew these legumes myself in Bryan County, Oklahoma, in the 1980’s when they were still a major farm crop in the area.
