Fans donated to beat the summer heat

Several organizations have partnered to provide fans to senior citizens and low-income families in the community. Pam Robinson, director of Bryan County United Way, said Bomgaars store first provided 88 fans at a discount.

July 15 The Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women (BCFDW) meeting will be held Tuesday, July 15 at noon at the Donald W Reynolds Library in Durant. The program will be presented by Kathy Moore, who is the local Economic Development Director.

County Assessor Mike Hull retires

Bryan County Assessor Mike Hull retired after a total of 21 years of service in the office and a retirement reception was held for him last week at the Bryan County Courthouse Annex.
