SEsports celebrates program’s first national championship

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University community gathered in the eSports Arena in the Glen D. Johnson Student Union on Friday, May 9, to celebrate the first national championship for the university’s eSports program – SEsports.

Students recognized at school board meeting

Students and organizations were recognized for their accomplishments during a meeting last week of the Durant Board of Education. Superintendent Mark Moring introduced HOSA, the first group to be recognized.

Lost Street Brewing Co. Wins Award at 2025 World Beer Cup

Lost Street Brewing Co was awarded a Gold in the 2025 World Beer Cup, the most prestigious beer competition in the world. The award ceremony took place on May 1, 2025, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, where awards were given in 112 style categories, including five cider categories.

Silo Schools to have bond election

Silo Schools is having a bond proposition election Tuesday, May 13 that if approved, will provide funds for building a high school with safe rooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium, lagoon and an early childhood classroom addition.
