2025 McNair Scholars inductees and graduates honored at annual banquet

Southeastern Oklahoma State University inducted 11 students to the 2025 class of the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program and celebrated the graduation of six program members at a recent banquet in the Hallie McKinney Ballroom.

J127 Ministry has fundraiser dinner, new director introduced

J127 Ministry had its annual Journey with J fundraiser dinner recently at Community Christian Church and the new executive director was introduced. Connie Pettitt has taken the reins of the ministry that provides housing for young women who have aged out of the foster care system.

SEsports celebrates program’s first national championship

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University community gathered in the eSports Arena in the Glen D. Johnson Student Union on Friday, May 9, to celebrate the first national championship for the university’s eSports program – SEsports.

Students recognized at school board meeting

Students and organizations were recognized for their accomplishments during a meeting last week of the Durant Board of Education. Superintendent Mark Moring introduced HOSA, the first group to be recognized.

Lost Street Brewing Co. Wins Award at 2025 World Beer Cup

Lost Street Brewing Co was awarded a Gold in the 2025 World Beer Cup, the most prestigious beer competition in the world. The award ceremony took place on May 1, 2025, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, where awards were given in 112 style categories, including five cider categories.
