Bryan County All Conference teams were recently announced for spring baseball and slow pitch softball.
In the power-packed West Division for baseball, Class A state runner-up Tushka snagged top honors with Carl Albert State College signee garnering Pitcher of the Year recognition while Seminole State signee Tagen Simon was the Most Valuable Player.
All Conference choices for the West were Carson Culbreath, Coltin Speers and Jake Green from Caddo along with Jerran Smith, Logan Bumgarner and Ryan Dunn of Calera. Goodson and Simon were joined by Tushka teammates Walt Kerr and Austin Lewis on the All-Conference squad and were joined by Rock Creek’s Jaron Varner.
On the East Division lineup, Boswell junior Kyler Cheshier was chosen as Pitcher of the Year with Most Valuable Player honors going to Colbert senior Tate Boyd.
All Conference picks from the East were the Colbert trio of Maverick Lester, Brett Parsons and Brayden Thompson as well as Tarrin Brown, Kolson Edge, Cheshier and Tabon Ribera of Boswell. Other honorees included Jaxon Pierce from Bennington along with Parker Coons of Achille.
Tushka’s Dax Simon was recognized as the Conference Coach of the Year in his final season at the helm of the Tigers.
Slow pitch softball honorees in the West Division were topped by University of Texas commit Jaycie Nichols, who garnered Most Valuable Player recognition.
Fellow Lady Bruins Kadey McKay, Presley Beck and Jordyn Nichols also were selected for the All Conference squad as was the Tushka quartet of Chanci Alford, Brinlee Anderson, Jaden Huffman and Rebekah Ridgway. Calera’s Sydni Burrola was chosen to the prestigious squad as was the Rock Creek duo of Macy Weger and Laynie Knight.
The East Division team was headlined by Bennington senior Kayden Blackburn as Most Valuable Player.
She was joined by the Colbert trio of Tally Rowland, Charlsee Fuller and Cara Sanders. Boswell’s Kaidence Walker, Kaydence Winship and Rilee Ribera were also chosen All Conference along with Bennington’s Brittany Greenhaw and the Achille trio of Gracie Holt, Lila Barnes and Blaire Barnes.
Caddo’s Dustin McKay and Tushka’s Logan Brown shared Co-Coach of the Year honors.
