James Waylan Moseley

James Waylan Moseley was born on April 1, 1935, in Warren, Arkansas to parents Rufus and Elvery (Wolfe) Moseley. James passed away on June 20, 2024, at his home in Durant. James graduated from the University of Arkansas with his undergrad and received an MBA from St. Francis university.

He retired from GTE after 25 years of service as a telecommunications specialist. James married Carol Lynn Sartin and they have been truly blessed as partners for over 63 years. James proudly served his country in the United States Army for 12 years during the Berlin Crisis and Korea Rebuilding before being Honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. James and Carol moved to Durant in 2019 from Sterling, Virginia. James enjoyed time with family, fishing, drumming, traveling, BBQ, and was a proud fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

James is survived by his wife Carol Moseley of the home; daughter Janet Pasielski and husband Chris of Lovettsville, VA; son Paul Moseley of Durant, OK; brother Carroll Moseley of Elgin, IL; grandchildren Cody Pasielski, Katie Pasielski, Zach Moseley, Oli Moseley, Raleigh Moseley, and Maxine Moseley and numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of James’s life with Military Honors was held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Bro Don Fentem officiated. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice. com.
