Southeastern Oklahoma State University Chorvettes performed with Foreigner during the their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Celebration Tour in Durant on October 3 & 4 at Choctaw Casino.
The Chorvettes sang with the band both nights on the band’s iconic hit, “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Foreigner donated $1,000 to the Chorvettes to use for its choir program.
The band was elected to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 in recognition of its iconic, chart-topping, 50+ year career and this year’s shows will celebrate the band’s induction.
The year 2024 proved to be the band’s most successful year since founder Mick Jones reformed the band in 2004 by adding vocalist Kelly Hansen.
The band continued to tour to sold-out crowds everywhere with a relentless touring schedule that included a three-month summer tour that saw Foreigner co-headlining with Styx with John Waite opening; they drew sold-out crowds wherever they performed.
Foreigner was also inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024 in honor of the band’s iconic 50+ year career.
