Durant Athletic Hall of Fame

  • Joey Devault was inducted into the 2024 Durant Athletic Hall of Fame and he was not present for last year’s ceremony, so he was honored last Friday. The 1980 Durant High School graduate was a three-year stalwart in football, basketball and baseball for the Lions as well as completing two years in track, but may be best known as the player that scored the game-winning touchdown for the Lions’ first-ever gridiron championship. He guided the Lion football team to their last playoff appearance in 2009 before embarking on a sensational baseball career that included starring for the Oklahoma Sooners. Also shown is Durant Schools Superintendent Mark Moring.
