- Joey Devault was inducted into the 2024 Durant Athletic Hall of Fame and he was not present for last year’s ceremony, so he was honored last Friday. The 1980 Durant High School graduate was a three-year stalwart in football, basketball and baseball for the Lions as well as completing two years in track, but may be best known as the player that scored the game-winning touchdown for the Lions’ first-ever gridiron championship. - Max White was inducted into the 2025 Durant Athletic Hall of Fame along with his brother Bo and he was honored at halftime during last Friday’s game. He guided the Lion football team to their last playoff appearance in 2009 before embarking on a sensational baseball career that included starring for the Oklahoma Sooners. Also shown is Durant Schools Superintendent Mark Moring.
- Bo White was inducted into the 2025 Durant Athletic Hall of Fame along with his brother Max and he was honored at halftime during last Friday’s game. White was a stalwart in just about anything he participated in for the Lions whether that was football, soccer, basketball and even baseball one year.
