The Bryan County Democratic Party (BCDP) and the Bryan County Federation of Democratic Women (BCFDW) celebrated Christmas together with a luncheon at Choctaw Cultural Center Dec. 10. Guest speaker was Matt Swearengin, editor of the Durant Democrat, who told about the history of the newspaper and its relationship to the community. BCDP meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm, and BCFDW (the women’s auxiliary) meets each third Tuesday at noon, both at the Donald W. Reynolds Library.
