Carol Beth Cranford Ware

Carol Beth Cranford Ware, of Pasadena, passed away on July 8, 2026, just one month shy of 90 years old. She was born in Pontotoc, Oklahoma on August 9, 1936. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Bobby Joe Ware, her parents Norvil & Ruby Cranford, as well as her brother Jerry Cranford. 

She is survived by her siblings Pam Manners, Eddie Cranford (Carolyn) and Susan Rogers. She is survived by her daughters Karen White (John) and Sherri Weishaar (Ron). She is survived by her two granddaughters Dayna Riley (Aaron), and Trina Marshall (Ryan) who affectionately referred to her as Mema and her great-grandchildren Paige, Lincoln, Scout, and Quinn. Along with numerous nieces, nephews and other family members who loved her dearly. 

Carol graduated from Blue High school in 1954. She then went on to marry the love of her life on April 21, 1956, and they eventually made their home in Pasadena, Texas. Carol began working for Petrolite in accounting and ultimately retired as an executive secretary. Throughout her life Carol was a Girl Scout troop leader, volunteered for political campaigns and worked at the roller-skating rink- earning her the nickname Mema Skate. 

After retirement, Carol & Bob moved to Kingsland, Texas. Carol worked at The Helping Center- a food pantry. She loved her time working at The Helping Center and made many friends. 

Carol was known for her sharp wit and giving heart. She made people laugh and enjoyed talking to others. She loved nothing more than a day out shopping- and she could out-shop anyone. She also enjoyed two-stepping with her husband, spending time with family- especially her two sisters, and reading. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She decorated every corner of her house and loved wrapping presents, especially with her signature ribbon bows. 

Although she lived most of her life in Texas, Carol was very proud of her Oklahoma heritage and made it home as often as she could to see her family. It is only fitting that her ashes will be laid to rest in Oklahoma, a place she always considered home and carried with her throughout her life. 

There will be an ashes internment for Carol & Bob Ware on Saturday, July 25th at 11:00 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK.
