Regina Marie Buchanan Boucher
Regina Marie Buchanan Boucher, of Armstrong, Oklahoma, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 82, surrounded by the comfort of her home and the love of her family.
Regina was born on Tuesday, February 1, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Carl Dee and Chloria Mattie (Bragg) Buchanan. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School and soon afterward met the love of her life, Charles Allen ‘Butch’ Boucher. The two were married on July 31, 1964, beginning a beautiful marriage built on love, laughter, faith, and unwavering devotion.
Regina worked as a hairdresser and homemaker before retiring from Walmart after 25 years as a Customer Service Representative. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. She always wore a smile that reflected the kindness in her heart. Her quick wit, contagious laughter, playful sense of humor left lasting impressions on everyone.
Of all the roles Regina held throughout her life, being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother brought her the greatest joy. Her family was the center of her world. She poured her heart into those she loved, offering encouragement, wisdom, and just enough bossiness to make sure everyone stayed on the right track. Her family affectionately knew that if Regina loved you, she wasn’t afraid to tell you exactly what she thought—and they wouldn’t have wanted her any other way.
A faithful follower of Christ, Regina was a devoted member of Armstrong Baptist Church. Her faith was not simply something she professed—it was something she lived each day. She found great comfort and purpose in serving the Lord and sharing His love.
Regina embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved dancing, singing, playing cards, traveling with dear friends and family, and creating memories wherever she went. Yet nothing compared to the joy she found in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Being “Meme” was one of her greatest honors, and her hugs, laughter, stories, and unconditional love will forever remain treasured gifts to those blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Allen ‘Butch’ Boucher, and her parents, Carl Dee and Chloria Mattie Buchanan, sister, Betty June Shaw, brother, Carl Patrick Buchanan and great grandson, Blayden Ray Robertson.
She is survived by her loving family: Daughter, Starla Price and spouse Michael of Armstrong, Oklahoma, grandson Bransen and wife Monica, great grandchildren Kinsey, Riggin, Kayden, Kyle, Kody and Athena, granddaughter Jessi and spouse Collin, great granddaughters LynLee and Sable. Son, Charles Dale ‘Butch” Boucher of Grand Junction, daughter Chelsea and spouse Cody, great grandchildren Kai and Luca, daughter Carley and spouse Riley. Daughter, Shana Swinney of Armstrong, Oklahoma, grandson Dakota, granddaughter LaCee Simmons and spouse Ryan, great grandchildren Emery, Liam and Ava, grandson Dalton and spouse Heather, great grandsons Roman and Elijah. Brother John Buchanan and spouse Barbara of Durant, William Buchanan of Edmond, Oklahoma along with several nieces and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.
Regina’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, fierce love for her family, joyful laughter, and a personality that was impossible to forget. She was strong, witty, tender-hearted, and delightfully bossy—a woman who loved deeply, lived faithfully, and left this world better than she found it.
Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice knowing she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and is now reunited with the love of her life in the presence of her Savior.
A celebration of Regina’s life will be held at Armstrong Baptist Church, Friday, July 24, 2026, at 2:30pm with a luncheon to follow at the Fellowship Hall. The family welcomes all who knew and loved her to join them. Please wear NO black. The family has requested those who are attending to wear the colors purple or teal in remembering a remarkable woman whose love and faith will continue to inspire generations to come.
