Brinley Whitlock of Rock Creek High School was crowned Fairest of the Fair during the Bryan County Free Fair Fairest of the Fair Pageant Saturday at the Bell Tower Event Center.
The first runner up was Shaylee Davis from Silo High School. The second runner up was Isabel Atkins from Silo High School, and the third runner up was Isabel Atkins Silo High School. Lexey Lowery, Durant High School, was named Miss Congeniality.
Melanie Knight, director of the Fairest of the Fair, said this was the 58th crowning of the Fairest of the Fair and that there were 13 contestants.
“We had many previous winners participate in passing the crown,” Knight said. “We had our previous winners pass the crown all the way to the most recent winner to crown the new winner. We had contestants as far back as 1976.
“It was such a cool experience.”
