Earl Weslie Griffin
Earl Weslie Griffin, 73, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 25, 1951, Wes lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering dedication to his loved ones.
A native of Oklahoma, Earl was a man of many talents and interests. He was a successful international business owner, traveler, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He chose to help all that he could whenever he could; without pause or provocation.
Wes’ greatest joy was his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was known for his warm smile, his ability to light up a room with his laughter, and his wisdom, which he shared generously.
He is survived by his two sons, Donovan Griffin and Perry Griffin, his four grandchildren Weslie, Benjamin, Caydence, and Rowyn, who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives with the same love and compassion he exemplified. Wes was preceded in death by his loving wife Wyvon Owens Griffin, his parents Earl and Dorothy Griffin of Atoka, his siblings Leslie and Olene.
Earl’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at Darwin Volunteer Fire Department and a small graveside service for family and friends at Darwin Cemetery on November 23. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Earl’s honor by either bringing canned goods (non-perishable) either to the ceremony or to your local food bank.
Earl Weslie Griffin’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though his absence is deeply felt, his spirit remains a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable journey.
