Frances Kay McCord Earl
Frances Kay McCord Earl, of Durant, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in Denison, Texas, at the age of 87. She was born on July 2, 1937, in Borger, Texas, to Luther Morris and Hallie Mae (Davis) McCord. On July 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Richard Lee Earl, in Russell, Kansas, embarking on a partnership that would flourish until Richard’s passing.
Together, Frances and Richard built a life in Midland, Texas, where they remained for 43 years. Professionally, Frances was a respected entrepreneur, owning and operating a successful courier service. An avid reader and music enthusiast, she enjoyed engaging in the adventure of countless books and filling her home with joyful music. However, it was the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that truly lit up her world. Frances was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, where she found faith, strength and community.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, James Earl, and his wife, Julie, of New Braunfels, Texas; her daughters, Patti Vasquez and her husband, Richard, of Enchanted Oaks, Texas, and Cynthia Williams and her husband, John, of Durant, Oklahoma. Her legacy continues through her nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Hallie McCord, and her husband, Richard Lee Earl.
