James Draper Davis, 85, passed away on May 19, 2024.
The son of Charles LaFayette and Ruby Mildred (Draper) Davis, James was born on November 18, 1938, in Kenefic, Oklahoma.
James graduated from Cobb High School and spent most of his life living in Durant. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after completing his time of service. James worked in road construction and retired from HB Zachry Construction as a foreman.

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mildred Davis; his wife Loretta Lynn Davis; and one brother, Charles L. Davis, Jr.
James is survived by his son, Jimmy D. Davis and wife Jayne; their children, Holli Webster and husband Logan and their son, Silas and Cierra Wondra and husband Aaron; son, Russell A.
Davis and wife Deborah; their children, Mason Davis and wife Kayla, Ashlyn Davis, and Amanda Eldridge and husband Cody and their children, Sadie and River; sister, Wan Exa Reynolds; brothers, Alvin Davis and wife LaWanda and Harold Mickey Davis and wife Barbara; and numerous nephews and nieces.
