Jerry Potter

Durant — Jerry Potter passed away at 81 in Dallas, TX, on July 10, 2026. Born on December 4, 1944, to Harold and Mary Potter, he proudly served in the US Navy for 20 years. 

On August 20, 1964, he married his wife, Teresa Potter, who preceded him in death. They were married for 50 years. 

He is survived by two of his sisters, Mildred Lee of Afton and Dorothy Carder of Unionville. He was predeceased by his sisters Arlene Potter, Virginia Sawyer, and Dolly Holdren, and his brother, Herbert Potter. 

He was a loving father to his children: David Potter, Robin Potter, Noel Potter, Geoffrey Potter, Golda Liebl, and Eliza Potter. 

He was a doting grandfather to his grandchildren: Andrew Nitor, Sarah Potter, Jonathan Potter, Elizabeth Liebl, Ian Potter, Christian Potter, Chaela Liebl, Thaddius Potter, Nicholas Kinzel, Lillian Potter, Leonides Potter, and Karolyn Potter. He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, and great-grandchildren. 

The family celebrated his life at Bridgeview marina/park in Madill on Thursday, July 16 at 5 pm.
