Richard Dale Garland

Richard “Rich” Garland, 76, passed on January 30, 2026 at his home in Kenefic, Oklahoma. Richard was born on March 14, 1949 in Washington, D.C. to Clemo Fredrick Garland and Delores “Lori” Marie Scholl. 

Richard was a Marine Vet who proudly served 3 tours in Vietnam with the 2nd Battalion 5th Marines. He grew up in San Bernardino, California, later living in AZ and Oklahoma. 

After his military service, he coached Little League and Pop Warner football in Rialto, CA. He loved music and dancing, especially enjoying the music of Glenn Miller and Hank Williams. He was a certified Chef and loved cooking for friends and family. 

He leaves behind his wife of 36 years Shiela (Trantham) Garland of the home, daughter Gamble Yeung of Brea, California and 2 stepsons; Billy Sneed of Colbert, OK and Daniel Sneed of Kenefic, OK. Also left to grieve his loss is his grandchildren; Kindall and Aiden Yeung of California, Aaron Billy, Blaise, Kylelynn, Neveah, Aynzlee Sneed and Jasiah Woodrum of Oklahoma and Patience Sneed of Arkansas and 3 great grand daughters 

He was preceded in death by his parents Delores and Clemo Garland, Brother James Garland and 2 great grandsons, Bryton and Nolan Sneed.
