The 2026 Durant Lions boys powerlifting team was recognized before a recent football game for their back-to-back state championship.
The Lions, coached by Mike Dills, competed in El Reno back in March and won the state title with a total of 65 team points.
Receiving their rings were team members Justin Andrus, Jahir Ascencio, Draegen Baker, Christopher Beccera, Brandon Cordell, Jaxson Cuesta, Cruz Gomez, Christopher Hix, Stephen Manhard, Gage Rocha, Jaston Stepp and Conlee Tiffie, who also won the overall state champion in the 198 weight class.
Coach Dills and the team thanked the Durant Athletic Booster Club and the Choctaw Nation for purchasing the rings.
