Caddo outlasts Colbert for County boys crown

A massive first half performance sparked the Caddo Bruins to a 75-58 win over Colbert Friday at Bloomer Sullivan Arena and capture their third straight Bryan County tournament title.

Durant boys hold off Hugo to notch 4th win

Durant boys notched their fourth win of the season while the Lady Lions dropped a pair of low scoring contests in non-district basketball action last week. The Lions’ victory was a 45-41 verdict over long-time nemesis Hugo in the weather-shortened Atoka Tournament.

Savage Storm drop 4 on northern Arkansas trip

A rough road trip through Northwest Arkansas culminated with four losses for the Southeastern basketball teams last week. The Savage Storm women put up solid offensive numbers but came out on the short end of decisions to Harding (81-69) and Arkansas Tech (96-71).

Calera, Silo split in area contests

Calera and Silo split basketball outings with Tishomingo and Sulphur respectively last week. The Bulldogs were 47-32 victors in their contest with visiting Tishomingo while the Lady Bulldogs fell 44-26.

Durant splits Glenpool, Memorial district bouts

Both the Durant girls and boys basketball teams split District 5A-4 contests last week. The Lady Lions dropped a narrow 47-45 verdict to Glenpool in a battle for the league lead but bounced back to throttle Tulsa Memorial, 48-22.

After a grueling start to begin conference play, the Southeastern women’s basketball team finally got in the win column twice over with a sweep of home tilts with Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello last weekend.
