A busy week for the Durant High track teams resulted in several high finishes in track meets at Bridge Creek and Plainview. The Lady Lions posted a runner-up team showing at Plainview while the Lions took third in the meet.

Playing at home for the first time in over two weeks, the Southeastern softball team didn’t find the confines very friendly as they managed just four total runs in dropping three games of a conference series with Southern Nazarene.

Wrestler Polk recognized at school board meeting

Durant High School senior wrestler Addison Polk was recognized during a Monday meeting of the Durant Board of Education. Polk is a four-time state qualifier in wresting and at the recent awards banquet, she was presented Outstanding Wrestler and Jared Pierce Teammate awards.
