Gordon and Kay Eggleton were married on June 11, 1966, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 2 at Durant First United Methodist Church. David Reed, director of the Fort Towson Historic Site, gave a presentation of “A Yankee in Indian Territory” July 24 at Three Valley Museum. Reed is a knowledgeable reenactor, and he has been published in The Chronicles of Oklahoma. The presentation was a part of the museum’s Journey Stories.
