Following a vote by the student body at Southeastern Oklahoma State University during its annual Homecoming week, Sarah Coblentz and Sydney Reardon were named Homecoming Royalty at halftime of the Savage Storm’s football game versus Henderson State on Saturday, November 1.

Goodman’s menagerie included monkeys that were once at a Durant park

It all began with a bear. Animal lovers Howard Rambo and Wallace Goodman had been selling and servicing Dodge and Plymouth vehicles since 1925, but in 1933 they also invited customers to see and feed their “Mexican bear cub,” and commented that it would “eat anything.”

The Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Walk was Sunday afternoon at the Durant Multi-Sports Complex and more than $5,000 has been raised for diabetes research. The walk is an event where type 1 diabetes community members gather to transform the future for everyone facing T1D.
