A reception for Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Chancellor Sean Burrage, left, was held Monday evening in the Southeastern Hallie McKinney Ballroom. Chancellor Burrage is a former president of Southeastern and SE President Dr. Thomas Newsom presented Burrage with a proclamation from the university. A prayer vigil for the Robinson family was held Dec. 27 at Market Square. Durant Lady Lions head coach Will Robinson died while trying to rescue his 8-year-old daughter Clara after the family’s car slid o_ the road during a rainstorm and into a drainage ditch on Christmas Eve in Sherman, Texas.
