Car club places table at Pocket Park

The Blast from the Past car club donated a table with benches to Pocket Park off Market Square. It was placed there last week and is one of many ways the club gives back to the community, according to Lynn Smith, president of Blast from the Past.

Wigington named new Caddo football coach

Over the last 22 years, Jeff Wigington has been a highly successful assistant football coach south of the Red River but will soon be headed back to the Sooner State as the new head coach of the Caddo Bruins, the school recently announced.

Durant City Council in its recent monthly meeting awarded a bid for construction of the Chuckwa Creek pedestrian bridge over North First Avenue. The $1,375,563.58 bid is from C3 Construction Inc.

ODOT proceeds with Roosevelt Bridge project
