DEAR PAW’S CORNER: While checking my little Terrier, “Fritz,” after a walk, I found one small tick just hanging on his fur. I don’t know what I would have done if it had attached itself to his skin. What’s the procedure? Should I rush him to the vet if a tick attaches itself ?

Descendants of Jeremiah and Clarissa (LeFlore) Gardner all gathered June 16at Old Church in Bennington, Oklahoma, where it’s been held for 71 years. Clarissa (LeFlore) Gardner was the daughter of Rebecca (Cravat) LeFleur. She was also the sister of Greenwood LeFlore.

United Way to give away fans

Bryan County United Way has received a supply of fans they will be giving away to help residents blow out the rising temperatures. Pam Robinson, UW director, said supplying box fans to the needy is a program the agency has had for about eight years.
