Wade-Albany has annual reunion

The Wade-Albany Annual Reunion was held last Saturday at the Wade-Albany Senior Citizen Center with almost 80 people attending. Winnie Fox, secretary-treasurer for the reunion, said last Saturday’s event was the 44th annual reunion.

City council approves lease of police vehicles

Durant City Council, in a meeting last week, approved a proposal for the police department to lease 14 vehicles from Classic Chevrolet in Denison, Texas. The lease will be $2,625 per month for 48 months or $2,170 per month for 60 months.

COMING EVENTS

July 28 The Bryan County Democratic Party (BCDP) meeting will be held at 5:30 pm Tuesday, July 28 at the Donald W Reynolds Library in Durant. The program will be presented by Brandon Wade, candidate for the US House of Representatives from CD2.
