I’ve had it!

The events culminating at the end of October 18, 2025, have caused me to express my feelings regarding what we have observed. President Trump posted an AI-generated video of himself wearing a king’s crown, flying a military fighter jet, and bombing the No Kings Rally marchers in New York with feces. It is on numerous websites.

In my view, the vulgar display of dumping feces on American citizens should convince us that President Trump has crossed the line of civility and into boorish, puerile behavior with that posting. I find it personally insulting that anyone would think it humorous to drop feces on crowds that included women and children.

Speaker Mike Johnson branded the participants in the No Kings rallies as people who hated America. I repudiate that false accusation.

At one such rally, my wife and I held up our posters that said, “NO KING, We got rid of one in 1776.” We were part of the seven million Americans who were exercising our constitutional rights to speak freely and assemble peacefully while expressing our opinions.

For anyone who may not be familiar with the First Amendment in our Constitution, the Bill of Rights states this: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

It is true patriotism to call upon our leaders to follow the constitution. It is patriotic to oppose injustices. It is loyal to our American principles for us to expose dishonesty of elected officials. We were doing those things in our protests.

In my view, President Trump’s insults and bizarre behaviors are efforts to make us feel helpless. No other president has stooped to insulting and ridiculing his fellow-Americans so often and aggressively.

No other has ever taken such rapid and forceful actions to undo our democracy. He said that he would be a dictator on day one and now seems to be behaving as if he is one.

We do not know what to do because these things have never happened before. I refuse to be apathetic or silent.

The seven million other marchers on October 18, 2025, represented the largest protest that has ever occurred against a president. This speaks volumes. We call for decency. We plead for honesty. We insist on following the Constitution. We defend our cherished American principles. Even if President Trump were a Democrat or an Independent, his behaviors would make me resist and speak out about his injustices and lack of common decency.

President Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson cannot answer these No King rallies except with ridicules and insults. Those are poor arguments. In fact, they are not even arguments at all.

Yes, I’ve had it, and Americans in increasing numbers have had enough of it, as well.
