Bryan County Tourney on tap for next week

The Bryan County Tournament is slated for its annual run next week with an eight-team field that will be condensed into a three-day bracket as opposed to all week.

Caddo boys have appeared in 10 consecutive Bryan County championship contests and will be the top seed in quest of its third straight tournament title.

On the girls’ side, the top seed is Caddo as well and the Lady Bruins are in quest of an eighth consecutive finals appearance while looking to repeat as champs.

This year’s bracket includes a trio of newcomers as Tishomingo, Coalgate and Legacy Christian will play in the tournament for the first time ever while joining Caddo, Rock Creek, Calera, Colbert and Tushka.

Opening round contests on Thursday, January 22 will take place at Colbert and Legacy Christian with semifinal round play along with trophy games at Southeastern on Friday and Saturday respectively.
