Silo took command with high-scoring second periods in each contest to spark the Rebels to girls and boys basketball victories over Tishomingo last Friday in the only action of the week for county teams.
The Lady Rebels cruised to their fourth straight win in a 66-37 decision in the opener and Rebels followed with a 7137 verdict over the Indians.
Girls
Silo scorched the nets for nine first half three pointers in, four of which came from freshman standout Mia Goodlow, as they rolled to a 40-14 halftime advantage after yielding just two points in the opening quarter.
The Lady Rebels forced 14 first half turnovers and were up 52-29 through three frames in the dominant triumph, finishing the night with 12 treys as a team.
Goodlow poured in a career high 18 points to pace four Silo players in double figures. Kamrey Hendricks erupted for 14 while Brooklynn Redwine scored 11 and Kynleigh Pierce had 10.
Parri Garrett also added five with four coming from Connie Tubby and two apiece for Olivia Clark and Xaleigh Austin.
Boys
Zane Sander and Sam Mendenall each canned a pair of three pointers to stake the Rebels to the early advantage and they never looked back from there.
It was 16-10 Silo after one stanza before they pushed that cushion to 35-20 at intermission. A 22-5 third quarter burst by the Rebels fueled by nine Cash Danker points put it completely on ice to notch their 11th win of the season.
Five Rebels finished in double figures with nearly a sixth as Sander and fellow senior Hayden Roberts took high honors with 15 points apiece. Danker tallied 12 as Mendenall and Kason Proctor hit for 10 points each. Luke Coulter chipped in eight off the bench with Doc Nuffer adding a point.
