Senior quarterback Corbin Stoner accounted for a season-high 455 yards of total offense and eight touchdowns to spur the Caddo Bruins to a 62-28 road victory at powerhouse Weleetka last week in a battle of Top 5 ranked foes.

Savage Storm rushes past Arkansas Tech

A strong running game and opportunistic defense were the pivotal keys last week as the Southeastern Savage Storm notched their third straight gridiron victory, toppling Arkansas Tech, 35-10, at Paul Laird Field.

Silo, Colbert, Calera win 2A regional titles

It will be another Bryan County reunion this week at the Class 2A State Baseball Tournament with nearly half the field made up from the area. Silo, Colbert and Calera all won regional championships last week to punch their ticket to the event.

Durant head coach Jimmie Wyrick knew the exact scenario going to Coweta last week in hopes of securing a Class 5A home regional this week. And the DHS skipper used that knowledge to his full advantage even though it meant losing the game.

Scoggin captures gold medal with Team USA

Participating with Team USA in the 15U World Cup of Baseball, Silo freshman Paxton Scoggin captured a gold medal by helping lead the United States past the Dominican Republic, 5-4, in extra innings on Sunday in Merida, Mexico, for the event title.

Caddo onto state softball; Silo to Super Regional

The Caddo Lady Bruins reached the Class A state fast pitch tournament for the seventh straight year with a regional sweep last week. Silo meanwhile kept its season rolling into this week’s Class 3A super regional round with a dominant regional title push of its own.

Feeding Hope has Glow with Hope run

The fifth annual Feeding Hope Glowing with Hope 5K and one-mile fun run was Friday night at the Choctaw Community Center. Previously known as Families Feeding Families, Feeding Hope serves meals to the community from their building at 424 E.
