Durant’s high school powerlifting team ran away from the competition to a dominant championship in the Large School division at the Little Axe Invitational recently. The Lions tallied 284 points with El Reno a distant second place at 189 while Woodward was third with 160 points.

The Southeastern Savage Storm softball team dropped three of its first four games in the rugged D2 First Pitch Invitational in Conroe, Texas, but managed to somewhat salvage the weekend with a 7-5 victory over nationally top-ranked University of Texas-Tyler.
