OKLAHOMA CITY – Caddo’s girls and boys basketball teams each advanced to the Class A state finals for the third time in the past four years last weekend at OG&E Coliseum but each settled for runner- up finishes.

A magical late season run by the Southeastern women’s basketball team came to a heartbreaking finish on Sunday with a 71-64 loss to Northwestern in the Great American Conference tournament championship game.

Durant now has a boxing club with the opening of Borderline Boxing Club in the Briarwood Shopping Center. The new business celebrated with a recent ribbon cutting from the Durant Area Chamber of Commerce.

Caddo junior Gage Vaughn took home her second state championship in three years while a trio of Durant and Caddo boys grapplers each won a match at the OSSAA State Wrestling Championships last weekend at OG&E Coliseum in Oklahoma City.
